Clipboard history stores text. Copying an image or a file and reaching for it later does not work.
Scope
- Record image and file-path pasteboard types alongside text.
- Show a thumbnail for an image and an icon with the path for a file.
- Return puts the original type back on the pasteboard, not a text rendering of it.
- Count images and files against the existing retention window and entry cap, and respect the existing size limits.
- Keep the opt-in, the pause control and per-entry deletion exactly as they are.
Notes
Storage grows quickly with images. Decide whether to keep bytes in the database or on disk with a reference, and cap the per-entry size. Protected pasteboard types stay skipped.
