Prepare @stacksjs/bun-router 0.1.12 for adoption by Stacks. The registry currently has 0.1.11, while main contains the routing/context/URL/compression optimizations and fixes implemented since that tag. Downstream tracking: stacksjs/stacks#2450 and stacksjs/stacks#2462.

Preparation includes matching root/package version metadata, the workspace lock version, release notes, a build, and an isolated installation of the actual packed artifact. Validate root/container imports, both CLI aliases, concurrent request context, native/generic HTTP and compression behavior. Source tests, both type projects and lint must pass.

The package checks already exposed and fixed #887, where the router alias referred to unpublished source files. Compression behavior is covered by #884 and #886; public server option types by #885.

This issue tracks preparation and eventual publication/adoption separately. No git tag, registry publication or release workflow dispatch is authorized by preparing the artifact. The next public release action should use the reviewed 0.1.12 commit and proceed only with explicit publication approval.

Release preparation is pushed in 21eb756. Root/package manifests and the workspace lock metadata agree on 0.1.12; the changelog summarizes the unpublished routing, context, crypto, compression and packaging changes. Publication remains pending explicit approval.

Preparation found and fixed two real package problems: #887 (broken router alias) and #889 (obsolete generated output entering later local packages). Both are committed separately and linked to their regression evidence.

The final artifact is bun-router-0.1.12-release.tgz, 280,793 bytes / 154 files. Its SHA-256 is:

6083290f05e74a5fe9768cb56d6a0a3c74b4ce90945e4120dbd48d4fcc07ea6f

This is byte-identical to the clean tarball installed into the final isolated consumer. Both command aliases report router/0.1.12; root/container imports and 30 real HTTP checks pass, including native/generic routing, query/path preservation, concurrent async request context, weighted gzip/deflate, small-body identity refusal and empty 406 responses. All 547 source tests, both type projects, lint, entrypoint build checks and separate review passes are complete. The local build and consumer runtime are Bun 1.3.14/macOS arm64; this is package validation, not a Linux throughput result.

Local review artifacts are under /tmp/stacks-router-release-20260908/, including the final tarball, the isolated clean-consumer/check.ts, test/build/install logs and both earlier failing artifact reproductions.

The existing release workflow publishes on a version tag or manual dispatch. Neither has been triggered. The next requested approval is to publish 0.1.12 from 21eb756 and then adopt the published dependency in Stacks. Downstream issues stacksjs/stacks#2450 and stacksjs/stacks#2462 remain open; the latter also retains Stacks' own brotli-layer and shortcut audit work.

Additional reviewed performance commit d4073c2 is now on main, documented in #890. It avoids URL allocation when query-free input is read while preserving cached URL edits and query behavior.

The latest source passes 557 tests, both type-check projects, pickier, build and built-package generic/native HTTP checks. These checks do not replace the complete release-consumer matrix previously run for 21eb756.

The previously prepared tarball for 21eb756 is no longer available locally. Before any authorized publication, rebuild the selected reviewed commit and repeat package/consumer verification. No npm publication, release tag, dependency adoption or publish workflow was performed.
