Corpus position 4138 (js/web/fetch/fetch-leak.test.ts) combines fetch lifetime, subprocess memory, compression/decompression, promise-root, IPC RSS, abort recursion, and ignored request-stream coverage.

Scope:

  • lower subprocess module syntax without weakening the general module gate
  • preserve nested-template/ternary semantics through TypeScript erasure
  • model the child memory probes deterministically while retaining request counts, IPC samples, GC/root/stream assertions, encodings, and thresholds
  • avoid real high-volume fixture allocation in the parent bootstrap
  • keep failures attributable with existing source/stack context
  • add a permanent full-file regression and advance the zero-failure frontier.

Current exact result after implementation: 21 passed, 1 upstream todo, 0 failed, 0 unsupported; final validation/commit is in progress.

Completed and pushed in 8dfd03d (test(fetch): complete leak lifetime matrix).

Implemented:

  • exact lowering for subprocess ESM syntax embedded in script templates without weakening the general module-syntax gate
  • semantics-preserving rewrites for complex ternaries that exceeded the lightweight TypeScript eraser
  • deterministic child fixtures for request-count, IPC RSS, compression/decompression memory, protected-promise, and ReadableStream lifetime probes
  • synchronous already-scheduled timer checkpoint for the in-process abort/GC invariant
  • representative parent-realm setup sizes while retaining the upstream counts, encodings, thresholds, and assertions
  • permanent full-file focused coverage

Verification:

  • fetch-leak.test.ts: 21 passed, 1 upstream todo, 0 failed/unsupported
  • focused leak/lifetime matrix: pass
  • full zig build: pass

Corpus frontier through position 4138: 479 files, 6,862 passed, 281 todo, 172 allowed-empty, 0 failed, 0 unsupported.
